Spelling Bee Champs

Planetarium Dome

 promo_picture_sm.jpgThe Northern Stars Planetarium will visit Greene Central School on Dec. 17 and 18th.  Each grade level has selected a program for students to view from inside of the 30'X30'X17' superdome.  The superdome fits up to 65 students and staff at a time.  There were over 25 programs to choose from.

Greene Central School received a Reading First Grant for $409,000 over three years.
Under the administration of the United States Department of Education, the Reading First initiative is an authorization under the No Child Left Behind Act. The purpose of Reading First is to insure that all children become successful readers by the end of grade 3.
