Energy Performance Contract

posted Mar 16, 2018, 12:13 PM by Jason Breton   [ updated Mar 18, 2018, 9:56 AM ]

MSAD 52 participated in a very successful energy performance project with Siemens.  The way an energy performance project works is that improvements are made to our school buildings, Siemens guarantees, measures and verifies our energy savings, and the District uses the energy savings to pay for the upgrades to our schools.  It is a win-win situation for our District.  Check out this link for more information about the project and the savings!

posted Feb 12, 2018, 5:30 AM by Jason Breton   [ updated Feb 12, 2018, 5:30 AM ]

School success begins with a strategic plan that includes a strong vision and a road map to achieve goals.  MSAD 52 has begun this work and now needs a Strategic Planning Team (SPT) to oversee the plan's development.  The SPT will be a representative group so that educators, parents, students and community members can contribute ideas and offer feedback.  Please contact Martha Bilodeau at 225-1000 or at martha.bilodeau@msad52.org if you are willing and able to be part of this exciting work.  Strategic Planning Team membership will be announced at the March 15 Board meeting. Thank you.

Patience Norman Award nominations are open

posted Oct 18, 2017, 10:46 AM by Jason Breton

Do you know a teacher that you would nominate for the Patience Norman Prize?  Patience W. Norman was a history teacher with a fine, inquisitive mind who believed her students were capable of academic excellence.  Ms. Norman required her students to work hard and challenged them to surpass her and their own expectations.  The Norman Prize for Teacher Excellence has been established at the Maine Community Foundation to recognize teachers in MSAD 52 who emulate her educational philosophy.

The Patience W. Norman Prize for Teacher Excellence is awarded to a deserving teacher in MSAD 52 annually.  Candidates for the prize must be nominated and have a demonstrated commitment to MSAD 52 as evidenced by a minimum five-year tenure.  Teachers should also demonstrate one or more of the following qualities: unusual impact and effectiveness in the classroom; commitment to students, including responsibility and concern for academic progress; creativity and innovation in teaching; and leadership that provides a positive model for students.  The award recipient receives a $5,000.00 prize.

Nomination packets are attached here and are available at school offices.  Completed packets should be returned to the MSAD 52 District Office, 486 Turner Center Road, Turner, ME  04282 by Friday, November 3, 2017.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Brandt
