  • Patience Norman Award This year's Patience Norman Award was presented to Turner Primary School second grade teacher April Hartford during a TPS assembly.  April embodies the qualities that make her a creative, innovative, effective teacher who is committed to her students and the profession and is a role model for all.  Although she was completely surprised by the award, April was gracious and eloquent in her response as she told TPS staff and students that the award belonged to all of them together.  This prestigious award comes with a $5,000 prize.
